Quatar Airlines is impressive. The use very large jets for the long trip from Dulles to Doha. I sat next to a Captain in the Pakistani Navy who held high level talks with our government about all that Pakistan is doing in the fight against terrorism. Did you know over 5000 Pakistani service people have died already in operations related to fighting terrorism? He was a really good company and I had good traveling companions on the other links as well. On Emirates Airways the stewardess walked down the aisle with a can of disinfectant spray in each hand and sprayed the entire length of the plane! Many of the stewardesses appeared to be from Singapore (on both Quatar and Emirates Airways). Quatar feeds fliers Ben and Jerry Chocolate Fudge ice cream first thing when they wake up in the morning---that's my kind of airline!
I think I mostly slept through the long flights. The vibration and white noise really helped and I'm sure being a male of a certain age doesn't hurt with my olympic napping skills.
At one point someone said it was 2:00 and since I had just woken I assumed that they meant PM, but it was AM somehow.
